The Henri de Rivel X-Wide Stirrup Leathers are a revelation to equitation in the saddle. Quiet a swinging leg with a wide width against the calf. More surface area adds more friction for increased leg support. A wider leather provides more comfort and aids in preventing twisting at the ankle as well.
